Husband of Lily Mae (Burkhardt) Harlow.
Logan and his family moved to Chesterfield MO at an early age when his father took employment at the St. Louis City Water Works. Logan served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 through 1945, achieving the rank of E-6 Tech Sgt./Staff Sgt. He served in many overseas theaters of operation, including Guadalcanal, the North Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Archipelagos. Upon returning state side, he continued to serve his country as an instructor for Aviation Engineering and Electronics Radio Navigation. Among his citations and awards were the Silver Star, six Bronze Stars and the one he was most proud of, the Distinguished Flying Cross. Logan remained active and in contact with the surviving members of the 90th Bomb Group, known as the 'Jolly Rogers'. After returning from the war he married his childhood sweetheart, Lily Mae Burkhardt. He worked for many years for Sealrite, CCA and retiring from Jefferson Smurfit. Several years ago they moved to California to be near their daughter and her family. Logan's wonderful mind, kind heart, jokes and quick wit, as well as his great Bloody Marys and the ability to fix anything will certainly be missed by many.
