A California native, Mr. Talmadge(sic) worked 16 years as a supervisor of Union Oil Co. He moved to Mi-Wuk Village from Alameda in 1959 and then to Sonora in 1973.
He was an elder at the Church of the 49'ers in Columbia, the church Mariner's Club and also belonged to an organ guild.Surviving are his wife, Mable of Sonora; one son, Tal of Walnut Creek, and one sister, Elaine Ewing of Walnut Creek.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the 49'ers Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 689, Columbia.
