Norma Paulsen, 86, of Blair, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Family graveside services will be at 9 a.m. at the Blair Cemetery.

Norma Paulsen was born April 23, 1919, in Orum to J.T. and Annie (Wolsmann) Nelson. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church on May 21, 1933, and graduated from Blair High School in 1936.

On Aug. 22, 1940, she married Bernard E. Paulsen. They farmed in the Blair area until her husband's death in 1971.

Mrs. Paulsen was a Special Reading aide at North School for numerous years and was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church in Blair. She was a member of Hillside Extension Club and Golden Friends. She collected angels, liked walking, sewing, and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Darryl and Sandra Paulsen, Dale and Terry Paulsen and Deanna and Curt Jensen, all of Blair, and Dean and Sharon Paulsen of LaVista; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a special aunt, Marie Nelsen.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, David Paulsen; and sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Jack Peterson.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church in Blair.
