Jerrold D. Schlueter, 61

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Fri., Dec. 6 at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington for Jerrold D. Schlueter, 61, of Arlington who died Nov. 27, 1996 at his home. American Legion Post No. 71 members will conduct the service. There will be no visitation. There will be a private family burial at Prairie View Cemetery at Washington, Nebr.
Jerrold D. Schlueter was born May 14, 1935 at Carroll, Nebr. His family moved to Arlington when he was a child.
He served in the U. S. Army from April 23, 1958 to April 22, 1960. He was then in the Army Reserves from April 22, 1960 to March 31, 1964.
He had worked in all types of construction for various companies in the area. He had been a self-employed carpenter the last 10 years.
He was a member of the Arlington American Legion Post No. 71 and the Arlington Veteran's club. He was a former member of Voiture 1018; 40 & 8 of Fremont and a former member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
He married Joan Bernhardt March 25, 1961 in Marysville, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Schlueter.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; two daughters, Jayme Schlueter of Arlington and Joyce (Mrs. Eric) Harper of Barlett, Ill; his mother, and step-father, Emma and George Dean of Arlington; two sisters, Marlene Armendariz of Tulsa, Okla. And Sharon Schlueter of Watertwon, Wis.; and one granddaughter, Alexandra Harper.
Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, Wis.; St. Paul Lutheran School in Arlington; American Legion Post No. 71 Youth Programs at Arlington or the Nebraska Lyons Foundation.
