Chief Justice, US District Judge. He was Chief Justice of the Territorial Supreme Court from 1866 to 1876, as appointed by President Andrew Johnson. Moses was the son of Moses and Eunice (Crowell) Hallett. He married Katherine L. Felt in Jo Daviess County, Illinois on February 9, 1882. He and Katherine were survived by a son, Lucius Felt Hallett.
