After a brief illness and operation at the Aurora hospital, Mrs. Anna Maria Fradendall [sic, recte Fredendall] passed away, at the Aurora hospital, Sunday night, July 6th, 1924.

The remains were taken from the hospital to the Hollister funeral home.

She went to the hospital only a few days ago where a severe operation was performed. Yellow jaundice and other complications set in, and death soon followed.

Her sudden death was a shock to her family and friends, and the heart-felt sympathy is extended to the afflicted family.

Deceased was the wife of Charles S. Fredendall and daughter of our veteran G. A. R. citizen, Charles Barnes. She was born at Algonquin, Ill., and was 53 [sic] years of age. She came to Batavia about 40 yrs. ago, and the greater part of her life was spent in Batavia.

She was a valuable, industrious woman in the home and for the different societies she worked with and will be greatly missed.

She was a valued member of the Women's Relief Corps, War Mothers' association, Royal Neighbors, and the First M. E. church.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, father, and five children, Mrs. Marie Horton, of California, Sherman B. Fredendall of the U. S. Navy, Arlande [sic, recte Ariadne], Alice May, and Wm. George of Batavia.

Funeral at the Hollister funeral home, Wednesday afternoon.

Interment in West Side cemetery.
