Hugh Adams, 74, resident of Ottumwa, and a former Moravia resident, died at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 1970 at the Ottumwa hospital following a short illness. Mr. Adams was a retired upholsterer and was born in Iowa July 9, 1895.
His parents were Elvin and Selina Mosby Adams. He married Edna Creech who survives his passing. Other survivors include two sons,
Elton Adams and Pete Adams, both of Des Moines;
a daughter, Mrs. Marie Gosnell of Cedar Rapids;
four grandchildren; three great grandchildren;
two brothers, Arthur Adams of Tucson, Ariz.,
Charles Adams of Maxwell, IA
a sister, Mrs. Edna Sanders of Centerville.
His son, a daughter and a brother all preceded him in
death.
Funeral services were held
at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, 1970 at the Johnson Funeral
Chapel in Ottumwa with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery at Moravia.
