Tena Wachter Dies Saturday in Blair

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday 29, for Tena L. Wachter, 93, who died December 25, 1982, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.
The Rev. Gordon Patterson will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.
Tena L. Petersen Wachter was born June 12, 1889, at Vacoma, Nebraska, to Fredrick and Margaret Andersen Petersen. She lived there until she married Clarence Wachter on September 4, 1919.
The couple lived on a farm west of Herman until 1950 when Clarence died of injuries from a tractor accident. From that time until she went to live at Good Shepherd Home in February, 1979, she lived with her family in Washington, D. C., and Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; two infant children; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Jack Wachter of Herman; and two daughters, Marilyn Claborn, Omaha, and Joan West, Grand Island. Seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers will be Mike West, Tom Wachter, Gary Wachter, Mike Claborn, Bernard Gosker and Roland Carlberg.
Bette Kirk will be the organist. Lois Wachter will provide the vocal music.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Home.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
