Giles and Lucinda were parents to five children. Minnie was born in Denver, CO, the others in Wyoming:

George Fred Charles b. 11/8/1870 and married Florence Hassel;
Walter R. b. 3/19/1873 and married Mattie ?;
Vilette B. b. 7/4/1876 and married George D. Woods;

Mrs. Lucinda N. Houghton, a pioneer resident of Cheyenne, died yesterday at the home in Denver of her daughter, Mrs. Valette Woods. The body is to be brought here to Cheyenne for interment beside that of the aged woman's husband who died here several years ago. It will arrive Saturday morning, accompanied by Mrs. Woods, and will be taken to the Gleason undertaking chapel. The funeral will be held at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock that afternoon and Mrs. Woods will return to Denver later in the day.

Mrs. Houghton was one of the first women to settle in Cheyenne, coming in 1867, the year the town was founded. She resided here until 1899.

Mr. and Mrs. Houghton were for many years among the best known residents of the city. Five children were born to them, three, Fred, Walter and Valette surviving. Mrs. Houghton was 77 years of age.
