She was married to Edmund D. Tryon at Hot Springs, S.D., December 12, 1892. To this union three children were born: Mrs. Ruth R. Wells of Rapid City, S.D.; Eugene Tryon and Wm. J. Tryon, both residing near Fairburn, S.D.
About 24 or 25 years ago Mrs. Tryon lost a limb, and as the years have gone by she seemed to suffer more and more. She was an earnest devoted Christian and before ill health forbade she did much nursing of the sick, freely giving her time and strength to help others. She was a very pure minded, noble woman; to such death has no terrors. The funeral services were held Sunday, January 28th, at the Seventh day Adventist church in Valentine, of which she has been a faithful and loved member for many years. Eld. J.P. Gardiner of Eli, Neb., officiated. Interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Edmund D. Tryon, nine children, 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. All the children with the exception of Loy and Ruby were present at the funeral. Many who were not relatives will also mourn the loss of a dear friend, for to know her was to lover her. {The Republican, Valentine, NE - Friday February 2, 1923}
