SERVICES FOR FLOYD TRIPLETT WERE HELD MONDAY MORNING

Funeral services for 61-year-old Floyd Triplett were held at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Blair. Mr. Triplett died on July 26, 1979 at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont.

Rev. Robert Bee officiated with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Floyd Triplett was born on October 5, 1917 on a farm near Herman, Nebraska. He served in the army from 1941 – 1945, leaving it as a 2nd lieutenant. After returning to this area, he married Bette Wolff of Blair on May 1, 1949. The couple lived at 1709 South Street in Blair.

He had worked for Holmquist Grain and Lumber for the past 31 years and served as Washington County Supervisor for the past 14 years. He was also on the Governing Board of E.N.C.O.R. He was a member of the Tangier Shrine and also a member of the Mason Landmark Lodge No. 222 of Herman, Nebraska.

Surviving, besides his wife Bette, are four children and one grandchild. The children are: Robert Triplett, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Steven Triplett, Blair; Kim Triplett, Blair and Tom Triplett of Blair.

Brothers and sisters are: Elzy, Howard and Harold Triplett ofTekamah; Mrs. Rosecoe Barton, Sun City, Arizona; Mrs. Alice Lamb, Blair; Mrs. Charles Brodersen, Herman; and Mrs. Helen Wittig, Omaha.

Pallbearers were: Gene Baumer, Eugene Clements, Harlo Wilcox, Emmett Rogert, Dale Stricklett, and Jim Taylor.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Fred Hansen, Jack Jensen, William Kobs, Lyle Thielfoldt, William Shamburg, and Robert Wilkin

Elzy, Per Vig - Aug 31, 1884 in Herman - August 8, 1969. Single, farmer, lifetime in Herman area. I am having trouble reading the notes, but he may have passed in the soldier's home. Predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters, per VIG.
