MOVILLE, Iowa -- Carrie Polk Ament, 83, of Evansville, Ill., formerly of Moville, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Deaconess Hospice Center, Evansville.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, Iowa with the Rev. Bruce Jackson of Bethel Lutheran Church officiating.
Carrie was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Cooter, Mo., the daughter of Chris Ordway and Marva Belle (Polk) Wentzell.
She retired in 2002 from HyVee in Sioux City. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Lawton, and an active member of BSF. She enjoyed her relationships with family, friends and her Lord, Jesus Christ. Each of us will miss her easy laughter, spirit of hospitality, bright wit and generous hugs, but know that she is thrilled to be in heaven, her very last and perfect residence.
Carrie is survived by her three children, her daughters Tia C. Norman and her husband, David of Evansville and Marla R. Lane and her husband James of Robinson, Ill.; her son William A. Ament Jr. of Denver, Colo.; one grandson Corey W. Minnette and his wife Julie of Sevierville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Nicole E. Zenor of Sioux City and Rachel A. Ament of Minneapolis, Minn.; one soon-to-be great-granddaughter Lanie N. Minnette of Sevierville, Tenn.; and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William A. Ament and her brother Chris O. Wentzell.
