Mrs. Wm. Bohlmeyer Dead
Mrs. Wm. Bohlmeyer died at her home six miles northeast of Jansen on Wednesday evening, April 20, after an illness of about 8 weeks. The deceased was afflicted with bronchial catarrh which ailment has caused her much suffering in past years. About eight weeks ago her condition became serious and finally developed into dropsy and she passed away on Wednesday evening of last week.
The deceased was at the time of her death 70 years, 9 months and 17 days old and is survived by her husband and children: Lisette (Mrs. Schellhorn), Marie (Mrs. Franzmeier), daughters, and Herman, Carl, Wilhelm and Fritz, sons, 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild and a brother living in Germany.
Funeral services, conducted by Pastor A. Heckel, were held in the Ev. Friedens church seven miles north of Jansen Sunday afternoon, April 24th, and interment was in the cemetery near that church.

She was born at Stift, Quernheim (municipality), Diepholz (district), Westfalen (geographical region), Germany to Cord Heinrich Möelhmann and Anna Margarethe Schmidts. She married William Bohlmeyer (Bohlmeier, originally) on 14 Nov 1866 in Stift Quernheim, Westphalia, Germany. They immigrated to the United States in 1889.
