Wm. Bohlmeyer Dies
William Bohlmeyer, one of the old residents of this vicinity, died Sunday night at the Mennonite hospital in Beatrice. He was injured in a fall at his home here some time ago, and gradually failed until his death. He was 87 years old.
William Bohlmeyer was born on Dec. 14, 1841, in Stift Quernheim, Westfalen, Germany. On Nov. 15, 1866 he was married to Miss Marie Moehlman [sic], while still in Germany. This union was blessed with ten children, four of whom have passed away. He came to America in 1889, and lived on a farm in Jefferson county until 1923 when he moved to Plymouth, where he resided until his death.
On April 20, 1921 his first wife died, and on July 19, 1923 he was married to Mrs. Hulda Springwald at Lincoln.
He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. John Shellhorn [sic] of Gladstone; Mrs. Franzmeier of Western; Herman Bohlmeyer of Plymouth; William, of Grand; and Fred, of Jansen.
The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home in Plymouth and later from the Lutheran Friedens [sic-Friend's] church, 6 1/2 miles southwest of Plymouth. Rev. A. Heckel, pastor of the church, will conduct the services.
