Hobart E. Cook, 72, of Newark Route 5, a former Drake resident, died early Friday in his home following a long illness.
He was born June 24, 1899, in Hocking County, a son of Harley and Emma Stephenson Cook. He was a retired railroad employe.
Surviving in addition to his widow, Della, are three daughters, Mrs Josephine Hashman of Orient, Mrs. Cathryn Stewart of Hilliard and Mrs. Juanita Walters of Jacksontown; two sons, William H. and Charles E., both of Newark Route 6; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Anders of New Straitsville; a brother, Millard Cook of Wayne, Mich.; 32 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at Henderson- Ross Funeral Home in Newark where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Clarence E. Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens at Newark.
