Peg was third child of Frank Brown and Nora Sullivan. She was a first generation America; both her parents were born in Cork, County Cork, Ireland. Peg married Robert R. Hanes, seventh son of David Q. Hanes and Nancy C. Moore. They were married on March 18, 1944 in Crown Point (Lake County), Indiana. Peg and Bob had four children; Frank, David, Sharon and Nora. They have ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
