John Arthur Nederhouser

John Arthur Nederhouser was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 17, 1945. John was a twin son born to the union of the late Orville Nederhouser and the late Irene (Cleveland) Nederhouser. He married the former Norma Jean Smith on May 5, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio.
John loved gardening and enjoyed nature, sports, and music. John believed in giving back to the community. He helped in the early creation of Olander Park, and he also was a past volunteer for the sheriff department and the volunteer fire department. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus.
John was known as a kind, loving man who always put his family first. He worked in manufacturing for many years, and John was a certified fork lift operator for more than thirty years.
John Arthur Nederhouser age 64 of Toledo passed away at 7:45pm on Thursday; August 26, 2010 at Waterford Commons in Toledo. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by a twin brother: Jim Nederhouser; half brother: Tom Carnes; and half sister: Donna Shoedel.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife of thirty-one years: Norma Jean Nederhouser of Toledo; brother: Glen Lau of Florida; a beloved mother-in-law: Irene Smith and sister-in-law: Tanya Smith both of Toledo; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather at 11:00am for a graveside memorial service on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The Rev. Bessie Snyder will officiate. Merkle Funeral Service; Bennett-Erie, 9156 Summit Street (734) 848-5185 was entrusted with his arrangements.
