Deaths. In this town, on the 3d. instant, Capt. Nathaniel Brooks, aged 97.
His widow, now more than 90 years of age, to whom he was married in December 1767, survives him.
Capt. Brooks passed seventy years of his life in this town, and for nearly half a century has been connected with the first Church here.
Having uniformly enjoyed the esteem of the community in which he lived, and exhibited to successive generations the example of a virtuous man, and an humble and sincere christian, he has been gathered to his fathers in the full maturity of patriarchal years.
His remains were followed to the grave by many descendants, among whom were some already venerable with age.
