Mr. Oliver Kersey, 61, of 2811 Oleander Lane, Groves, died at 6:30 A.M., Thursday, April 15, 1982 at St. Mary Hospital. He was born in Arkansas and lived in the Port Arthur – Groves area for 33 years. He was an Engineer for the Gulf Oil Marine Department and was employed for 31 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 1982 at 2:00 P.M. at Levingston Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Vincent Guarnere, Pastor of Gulf Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include: his wife Mrs. Olevia Kersey of Groves, two sons Steve Kersey of Port Arthur and Herby D. Kersey of Groves, his mother Mrs. Sarah Fay Majors of Salem, Arkansas, two brothers George Kersey of Portland, Oregon and Gale Kersey of Memphis, Tennessee and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Jacob Middendorf, Nathan Griffin, Danny Griffin, Quinton O'Neal, J. C. Davis and A. C. Locke.
