Celesta Schartz Bennett
HURST, Texas - Celesta Schartz Bennett, 69, died May 26 at her residence in Hurst. She was the daughter of Nick and Aileen Schartz. She married Virgil Bennett. A resident of Hurst, coming from Great Bend and Ellinwood, she was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Gary Bennett of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Sharon Bigham and Susan Bennett, both of Fort Worth, Texas; seven brothers, Kenneth Schartz of Sacramento, Calif., Vernon Schartz of Grants Pass, Ore., Norbert Schartz of Sutter Creek, Calif., Gerald Schartz of Hays, Loren Schartz of Great Bend, Tom Schartz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Patrick Schartz of Ellinwood; two sisters, DeSales Feist and Mary Bowes, both of Ellinwood; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Schartz and Leon Schartz. Funeral was held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Fort Worth. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
