Mrs. Myron McCracken Dies of Pneumonia

Mrs. Myron McCracken, died at ten minutes before seven o'clock Sunday morning at the family residence, corner of Presbyterian avenue and Cemetery streets. She had been ill only a few days, and the immediate cause of her death was pneumonia. She was seventy-nine years of age and had lived in Madsion all her life. She was a member of the First Baptist church, and was a good neighbor, noted for her kindness, especially in cases of sickness. She leaves a husband, two children, John C. White, and Mrs. Clara Tharpe; also thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, besides four step-children. Two of the latter, Mrs. Nannie Chapman, of Carrollton, Ky., and Mr. Morton McCracken, of Indianapolis, had arranged to meet here yesterday, coming on a visit, and were surprised and shocked at the unexpected death. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the house and the burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Rev. Stewart I. Long will conduct the service.
