She was born on Jan. 25, 1923 in Potsdam, daughter of Amos and Lora Tupper Bresee.


Mrs. Spears was manager of Covey's General Store and was employed at Potsdam Town and Country Club.

She married Raymond C. Spears on Feb. 15, 1941. He died March 22, 1972.

Surviving were a son and his wife, Raymond and Lisa, Poulsbo, WA; a daughter and her husband, Barbara and Daniel Millerick, Mystic, CT; two sisters, Blanche McGill, Potsdam, and Lora Saccone, Syracuse; a grandson, three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

A granddaughter, Michelle Millerick, three brothers, Charles, Lloyd and Amos Bresee, and nine sisters, Luthera York, Iva Simmons, Ina Hansen Tucker, Grace Simmons, Leona Cary, Eleanor Caringi and Lois, Isabelle and Helena Bresee, died before her.
