Mrs. Henry Blunk Is Buried Monday
Native of Denmark Died in Blair Saturday Morning at Age of 64
Mrs. Henry Blunk, aged 64, resident of this city since 1894, died at her home Saturday morning after an attack of pneumonia. She had not been in good health for several years.
As Marie Andersen, she was born July 24, 1871 in Gjorring, Jutland, Denmark. There she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She resided in the land of her birth until 23 years of age, when she came to America.
In 1894 she was married to Henry Blunk in Blair and the couple had resided here since. Surviving are Mr. Blunk and four children, Ann Baumgarbner, William Blunk and Mrs. Russell Miller, all of Chicago, Mrs. Lawrence Johnson of Blair. Another son, Alfred Blunk, died last month in Montana.
Funeral services were held at Campbell’s mortuary Monday afternoon, the Rev. James N. Lund, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, in charge. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Henry Blunk Buried Monday
Practically an invalid for several years, Mrs. Henry Blunk, 65 years old, died at the family residence on West Nebraska Street Saturday following a few days illness of pneumonia.
Funeral services were held from the Campbell Mortuary Monday afternoon, March 23 with Rev. James N. Lund, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, of which Mrs. Blunk had been a faithful member for many years, officiating. For many years she had been in ill health.
Born as Marie Andersen on July 24, 1871 at Gjorring in Jutland, Denmark, Mrs. Blunk came to this country in early womanhood. In Denmark, she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She came to America in 1894 and in the same year was united in marriage to Mr. Blunk at Blair, where she had made her home since that time.
Surviving are Mr. Blunk and four children, Ann Baumgarbner, William Blunk and Mrs. Russell Miller, all of Chicago, Mrs. Lawrence Johnson of Blair. Another son, Alfred Blunk, died last month in Montana
