James David Wallis Jr., 87, of Kennesaw died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Austell.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East cemetery.
Mr. Wallis served in World War II. He was former president and owner of Drum Reconditioning and Transfer Company in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was a life member of the VFW and; member of the Disabled American Vets.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice W. Wallis; one son, Jerry L. Wallis; one daughter, Carol W. Monroe; two sisters, Juanita Burnett and Willard Howard; one brother, Harold B. Wallis; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
