Helen Keller Allen age 87 of Saffell died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at a Cave City nursing home. She was born November 8, 1927 at Little Rock, Arkansas to Thomas Albert and Jenny Bell (Kelley) Keller. She was a homemaker and a member of the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Bovay Allen; one brother, George Keller and one grandson, Stephen Lawson.

Survivors include two sons, David Allen of Saffell and Albert Allen of Cave City; two daughters, Judy Tidwell of Saffell and Shirlene Smith of Jesup; one brother, Boyce Keller of Rogers; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church in Saffell with Bro. Paul Sowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery located at Dowdy with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Brian Allen, Doug Barkley, Shaun Allen, Zack Allen, Aaron Smith and Jared Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Lawson, Dillon Lawson, David Lee Tidwell, Chase Smith and Ayden Smith.
