Evalene Elizabeth Giles, age 86, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
She was born October 31, 1921 in Norborne, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Wilhelmina (Schroer) Albrecht. She attended catholic grade school.
On June 26, 1941 she married Austin William Giles in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2007.
Evalene was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Evalene is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Standley and husband David, Warsaw, Missouri, Janet Elaine Sanders and husband Ed, Warsaw, Missouri, four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Her parents, six brothers, and five sisters also preceded her in death.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2007 at Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Ken Randolph officiating.
Visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Giles.
