FOWLER Richard Earl "Driver" Richard Earl "Driver" Fowler, 79, of Whitehouse, OH, formerly of Gaylord, MI, died June 21, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1930, in Bradford, PA to Edger and Iris (Tuttle) Fowler. Richard and his wife were residents of Gaylord, MI for the past 20 years before moving back to the area. He worked for Interstate Motor Freight and McClean as a truck driver for 32 years. He retired in 1984. He loved his trucks and was a mechanic of "old school" car repair methods. He was also an avid snowmobiler.
He married Marjorie A. (Canfield) March 20, 1982, in Waterville, OH. She survives along with children, Russell (Brenda) of Waterville, OH and Robert (Pat) of Elkhart, IN, Paula (Mark) Woodburn, Michael (Judy) Woodburn, Charles (Sue) Woodburn and Chris (Alan) Bryant; 6 grandchildren and sister, Nadyne (Jerry) Donk of Clifton Springs, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faith; son, Roger and daughter, Wendy Myerholtz.
The family is planning a memorial service for July. Interment will take place in Alger Cemetery, Hume, NY. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
