Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Roy Kelly, age 83 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 03, 2013.
Born Saturday, August 03, 1929 in Campti, Louisiana, she was currently a member of Calvin Baptist Church and was a charter member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her Parents, William Hoyt Roy and Lillian Wallette Roy; Husband, J.L. Kelly; Daughter, Susie Shaddox; Grandson, Timothy O'Bryan; Brother, James Edward Roy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her Daughter, Pauline O'Bryan and husband Donnis, Shreveport, LA; Two Sons, Michael Rowell and wife Betty, Duncanville, TX and Tommy Rowell, Shreveport, LA; Step-Daughter, Kaye Dickey and husband Gerald, Victoria, TX; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; Sister, Doris Spangler, LaGrange, WY; Two Brothers, Robert S. Roy, Grants Pass, OR and William G. Roy, Jackson, LA; Sister-in-law, Inez Roy Taylor and husband Eddie, Winnfield, LA.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 06 at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again on Tuesday, May 07 from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 07, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lamar Carpenter and Rev. Wallace Ingles officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, in Winnfield.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jonathan Roy, Tyler Hill, Benjamin Smiley, Brad Hanson, Thomas Berry, Darrell Thomas, Michael Rhodes.
