Richard T. Johnson

Richard T. Johnson was born in Holt County, Missouri, January 14, 1852 and passed away at Blair Nebraska, April 5, 1942 at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 21 days.

When about twelve years of age, he came to Nebraska with his parents and settled in the County near Plattsmouth, where he grew to manhood. He returned to Oregon, Missouri and married Mary S. Dunn, December 26, 1872, bringing his bride to their new home on the Nebraska prairie, where they lived until they moved to Washington County, in the spring of 1898, since which time he has resided in or near Blair. His wife preceded him in death April 16, 1921. He is survived by four children; John H. and C. Emmett, of Herman, Mrs. Nellie Gilbertson, of Blair, and Miss Hattie of Beatrice; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Berger of Murray, Nebraska. Mr. Johnson joined the Christian Church in his young manhood at Murray, where his membership has remained all these years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon a 2 o'clock from the Bendorf Funeral Home, with Rev. T. A. Lindenmeyer in Charge and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
