Appearing in more than 100 films, he is best remembered for his portrayal of the character 'The Riddler' in the classic 1960s TV series "Batman," for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. In films, he worked in "The Proud and the Profane" (1956), "The True Story of Jesse James" (1957), "Bells Are Ringing" (1960), "That Darn Cat" (1965).
