Lucy, along with her sister Bucky, came into my life March 14, 1993. And, along with her sis, stole my heart!

Lucy was named Lucrezia Borgia as she didn't like many men, especially those with a goatee. She literally hissed at men with goatees.

She was the talkative one, her and I could talk for hours at my desk while she was resting on the monitor. I will never forget how angry she was when I replaced the monitor with a flat panel one! Poor thing!

Although it appeared she was the dominate of the two, she always bowed to her sister when it came to lap time. But in the bed, she would be the one to sleep on Mommy. Bucky would sleep on Mommy's pillow, resting her own head on Mommy's. The soothing sound of a cat's purr...

I still laugh at the things Lucy did... Coming into the office meowing, demanding I follow her to the kitchen. I'd stop and wait and she ran to the kitchen only to find I wasn't following her. She'd run back, look at me and meow more. I could play this with her forever, but I had to get work done! So I'd follow her to the kitchen and what was she wanting? There was a tiny bit of the bottom of her food bowl showing and she wouldn't have it! So I filled it and she was fine.

Her and I also played peekaboo all the time! And boy could the girls spell. I began to spell TREAT out, but they caught on.

When I travelled from Colorado to Texas, Bucky hid under the driver's seat for the 13.5 hour drive while Lucy stayed with me on the dash. She often got in my lap and would have her paws on the steering wheel. I will never forget some cars passing that would slow down to watch Lucy drive!

Lucy got to enjoy the pink stroller I bought for Bucky. Her and I spent many hours down by the river and creek talking.

I miss our talks. I miss her demands. I miss Lucy!
