Christopher Paulsen, one of the old settlers in this community, died at his home in Dexterville on last Sunday evening July 10, 1921.
Deceased was born in Denmark July 8th, 1845 and was thus past 76 years of age. He was married in May, 1868 to Miss Frederikke Sophia Antonsen and to them four sons and four daughters were born.
The family came to America in 1884 and in 1888 to this county where he farmed for a number of years, moving to this city. Mrs. Paulsen died in 1907.
He leaves to mourn him, Mr. H.P. Nielsen, of Herman Lake, Minn.; Anton, of Ft. Dodge, Ia.; Christian, Mrs. K.P. Hundahl, Mrs. M.P. Hansen, Martin and Paul Paulsen of this county and Mrs. John Hatting of Minneapolis, Minn., also two brothers and one sister.
The funeral services were held at the Danish church at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. Anderson conducted the funeral services and internment was made in the Blair cemetery.
