Johanna passed away due to complications of a premature childbirth at the farm home just across the county line near Bennington, leaving her husband and 4 small children (Vig Files).

Note that children that appear in the 1900 census are Arthur, Adolph, and John C in 1900. In 1910, children are Arthur, Adolph, Marion, and Luella. I believe this indicates that son, John C, passed away between 1900 and April 1908. So this would mean that Knute and Hanna had 7 children total; the four surviving Hanna (Arthur, Adolph, Marion, and Luella), and' two or three passing away before Hanna's death (Elmont, possibly John C, and the premature infant mentioned above).
