Amy was born to Frank H. Holmes and Sarah Nellie Graham (they married in Lenora, Minnesota May 17th, 1876) and she had two sisters Winifred and Inez Florence Holmes

She married Lt. Cdr. Harry Hamilton Lane, son of Thomas S. Lane and Mary Kerr of Middletown, NY (Pictured right: He was a Naval Surgeon who served in London and Paris during WWI) and they had a son, Thomas Hamilton Lane, who married Alva Edwena Latham.
