Funeral services for D. L. Bell, 45, of Canton were held Saturday, August 29, at 3 p.m. in the Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton with Revs. Jack Farmer and James Pugh officiating.
Interment followed in the Canton Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Bell died in the Baptist Hospital at Jackson last Thursday night following an extended illness. He was a native of Scott County and had made his home in Canton for the past two years. He was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church and was employed as a truck driver.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. D. L. Bell; six daughters, Mrs. Joyce Grice, Winona; Mrs. Don Myatt, Morton; Mrs. Billy Ray Atkinson, Jackson; Mrs. James Earl Harper, Canton; Miss Debrah Louise Bell and Miss Tiny Carol Bell both of Canton.
Four grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bell, Lake Providence, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Eugene Thurman, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Earl Herrington, Lake Providence, La.; and Mrs. Floyd Garland, Morton and two brothers, L. D. and Leon Bell both of Lake Providence. La.
Pallbearers were J. C. Bailey, Eddie McCrory, Elmo Lyons, R. L. Waltman, Ricky Waltman and A. L. Bailey.
The honorary pallbearers were J. D. Rasberry, Jimmy Rasberry, Sam Vinson, T. 0. Taylor, and W. K. Pace.
