MYERS, ELLA M. LAWSON HATCHER - age 84, of Walland, died at 5:58 a.m., Friday, November 13, 1998, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of West Miller's Cove Primitive Baptist Church and the last surviving member of the Daniel Lawson family of Cades Cove. She was preceded in death by: parents, Jasper and Martha Lawson; son, Charles B. Hatcher; brothers, Herman and Raymond Hodge, Bill, Hobart, Luke, Carl; twin sister, Nellie; sisters, Pauline Waters and Lydia Hatcher. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Mike Bundra, Birdie and Max Cummings, all of Maryville, Marie and Bill McClanahan of Walland, Maxine and William Till of Louisiana, and Cynthia and Randy Stephens of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services are at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 1998, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Elder Hoyle Taylor, Elder Mike Boring, and Elder Jimmy Hurst officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 1998, at West Miller's Cove Cemetery for the interment.
