Billy Dean Stahle, Jr., resident of Bobbiitt Road in the Moscow Community, recently retired millworker and husband of Tracy Stahle departed this life Thursday morning, April 25, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown. He was 64 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.
Services of Remembrance with Military Honors for Mr. Stahle will be conducted at 3 P.M. Friday, May 3rd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Kent Bailey of Somerville officiating. A visitation for Mr. Stahle will be from 2 to 3 Friday, May 3rd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will be private and arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Stahle was born December 29, 1948 in Searcy, Arkansas, the son of the former Mae Garrad and the late Billy Dean Stahle, Sr. He moved at an early age with his family to Memphis and received his education in the Memphis City Public School System and the State Technical Institute. He served his country as a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1972. He was married October 15, 1976 to the former Tracy Margaret O'Brien, who survives.
Mr. Stahle was a former resident of the Oakland Community and had been a resident of the Moscow Community for the past 15 years. He was a Christian and was employed as a millworker for the Grandview Window and Door Company in Bartlett for a number of years before his retirement in February of this year. He will be remembered as a master wood craftsman who enjoyed all typed of woodworking. Nature, birdwatching and caring for his pets were pleasures that he enjoyed. He was devoted to his family and his country.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mr. Stahle is survived by two daughters, Erin Stahle of Moscow, Bridget Stahle of Moscow; his son, Stephen Stahle (Shannon) of Somerville; two sisters, Barbara and Tricia; his brother, Bo Marshall; and two grandsons, Kasey Morris and Gavin Stahle.
