As a child, Daisy lived in Syracuse with her maternal grandparents for several years. After finishing school, she moved to New York City where her aunt Mary Eddy Bixby lived. There she was a public school teacher.
On 6 Jan 1904 Daisy married Cecil Gerald Rose. He was born in Birmingham, England. As a child Cecil went to the West Indies with his father who was a civil engineer for the British Government. At the age of twenty-one he came to New York City. Cecil was then secretary and treasurer of Rich, Wall & Co. in New York City. Cecil and Daisy had one daughter, Geraldine Alvord Rose, born 21 Mar 1907. The couple apparently soon divorced. Cecil was listed as single in the 1910 Seattle census and Daisy was still living in New York City with her daughter. Cecil remarried in Seattle in 1912.
According to her father's obituary in Mar 1910 (and some genealogies), Daisy had was married to a Mr. Mills by this time, but no record has yet been found. In the 1910 census she was still listed as Daisy Rose. Sometime after the 1915 NY census, Daisy and Geraldine moved to Seattle where she married Matthew Patrick Zindorf. Daisy and Matthew had a daughter Ruth A. Zindorf born in Seattle 9 Oct 1917. Matthew Zindorf was in the real estate business. Daisy filed for divorce in 1920 and later withdrew the complaint. They eventually did divorce in 1929.
Daisy continued to live in Seattle for several years. About 1939 she moved to Pensacola Florida with her married older daughter Geraldine and her family. Daisy died in Pensacola at the home of a friend. Her body was shipped to Newport, RI for burial, presumably because her daughter Geraldine was living there with her second husband, naval commander Alexander Blair Dusenbury.
