OBITUARY

Fanny Curry Ivery was born on January 31st,1914 to the late Ezra L.and Kate F.Curry of Green County.She was preceded in death by her husband,Rodney K.Ivery and brothers,Green Venton,Extell,John Allen,Ezra Charles,William
Brooks,Reed and two sisters,Rosetta Curry and Harriet Penick.


She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant
Hill Baptist Church in Green County.Because her father believed so strongly in education,Fanny was sent to Indianapolis,Indiana where she met and married the love of her life,Rodney K.Ivery.After graduation she became a teacher in Greensburg,Kentucky.She taught for over 40 years.
During this time,she exposed her students to many educational field trips such as the Mammoth Cave,Lincoln's Farm,and the Cincinnati Zoo.Mrs Ivery,as her children fondly
called her,loved teaching but her favorite thing was helping
others.Each summer she and our dad raised a vegetable garden
that was at least an acre in size.This enabled them to give
to others.

In later years,she became a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbellsville,Kentucky where her daughters attended.She taught Vacation Bible School as well as Sunday
School.As time went on,she joined her husband and became a
member of Fannie Chapel CME Church.Mrs Ivery was a member of
the Order of Eastern Star,PHA and Kentucky Education Association.

Mrs.Ivery and her husband were the proud parents of four
daughters,Rosie Pettygrue(Ernest)of Indianapolis,IN.,Katie Ivery Williams of Sunrise,FL.,Ann Norman(Ronnie)of Louisville,KY.,and Vivian Fresh(Ronald)of Indianapolis,IN.;six grandchildren,Vetria Anthony(Donnie)of
Bowling Green,KY.,Monica Wardlow(Mark)of Smith Grove,KY.,
Melanie Tolbert(McArthur)of Indianapolis,IN.,Rean Young(Lamar)of Liberty Township,OH.,Ebony Fresh of Indianapolis,IN.,and Michael Fresh of Atlanta,GA.;10 great-
grandchildren;three great-great grandchildren;18 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly;many loving cousins and friends.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Pyramid Point
Rehab,Indianapolis,IN. for the loving care they gave our
mother.May they be richly blessed.We also thank Mike and Karen Compton and many church members and friends for their
help over the years.Those who continued to write,send cards,
and call her will always be remembered.
At the time of Mrs.Ivery's death,she was the matriarch of four generations.
