Rita Renee Lopez, 42, died Apr. 21, 2013, after a short illness.
Rita was born in Madera, Calif., on July 6, 1970, to Joan and Leroy Brammer. She was the only child, but she had 8 half brothers and sisters. She grew up in Stockton, Calif. She married Jose De Jesus Moreno Alvarez on Sep. 12, 1987. They lived in various areas in Stockton, California and Texas, before their divorce in 1994. They had three children. She married a second time to Lucio Lopez and had three more children.
Rita was a loving, generous, and active woman. Her family was the most important thing in her life, not just her children and grandchildren, but also friends. She was an excellent caregiver. The needs of others came before her own. She helped out whenever and however she could.
She is survived by her children, Jose, Anthony, Claudia, Letisia, and Alfredo; grandchildren, Oscar, Madison and AnnaLyah; her half brothers and sisters; Virginia Sears, Leroy (Jr.), Mike, Joseph, and Thomas Brammer, Donna Keswick and Johnny Bahr; and her Aunt Betty Jo Vetro. She is also survived by both her ex-husbands. Rita was preceded in death by her daughter Jessica Alvarez; her parents Joan Barrera, and Leroy Brammer.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m., Monday, Apr. 29, 2013, at Cano Funeral Home, 2164 E Charter Way, Stockton. We love her. We miss her deeply.
