Baptized Theresa Rose at St. Frances Catholic Church, Walla Walla, WA, March 04 1923; Sponsors: Michael BASTI and Margaret LAWRENCE; Priest: Rev. BALUCCI.
[[Teresa was raised in Walla Walla, WA and Pendleton, OR, and attended St. Joseph Academy. September 06 1940, Theresa married Joseph MANTIONE. They lived in Buffalo, Erie County, New York for a few years, returning to Pendleton, OR in 1946. Mrs. MANTIONE was employed at St. Anthony Hospital for 33 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include sons: Charles MANTIONE of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC, James MANTIONE of Central Point, Jackson County, OR, Sammy MANTIONE of Pendleton, OR, and daughter Josephine BOND of Kent, King County, WA; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Also survived by six sisters: Laurine CAMPBELL and Alice WALTERS--both of Walla Walla, WA; Mary (Joe) JONES and Mrs. Majorie BONIFER--both of Pendleton, OR; Blanche (James) SEVERNS of Federal Way, King County, WA; and Rita (Dean Fenton) DRAKE of Spokane, Spokane County, WA; two brothers: Charles (Elsie) FARO of Echo, Umatilla County, OR; and Patrick (Bernadean) FARO of LaGrande, Union County, OR: and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband Joseph MANTIONE (1973), son Joseph MANTIONE JR. (1990), two brothers: Stillborn FARO (1921) and Anthony FARO (2003), one sister Carol FARO LONAI (1981), and by her parents.
