OBITUARY

Mrs. Mary Hayes Long, for forty-three years a resident of Admah neighborhood, passed away at her home Saturday evening at 6:16, aged 78 years and 21 days, suffering from asthma and complications.

Miss Mary Hayes was born in Bedford county, Pa., Nov. 9th, 1834, was married there in 1856 to James Long, who still survives her. They moved to Nebraska in 1869, homesteading the farm two miles southeast of Admah, where they have since resided.

Five children were born to this union, three of whom have preceded her to the great beyond. Those surviving are Hayes and Lillie Long, both at home. They, with the sorrowing husband, and two brothers, Will and Alex Hayes, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted mother, wife and sister.

Funeral services were held from the home, Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock and were conducted by Rev. Henderson of Craig. Interment in Admah Cemetery.

The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow. Hooper Sentinel.
