MRS. CAROLINE BOYER CLOVER, 89, of Van RD died at 8 p.m. Sunday March 12, 1944, in the Oil City hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days. She was born in Salem Township, Clarion County, on September 14, 1854, the daughter of Amos and Anna Cope Boyer. She had resided for 36 years at Popetown, near Knox, before going to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Ward and family of Van RD, about eight years ago. Her husband, James Clover died in 1937. Mrs. Clover attended the Salem Lutheran Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Minerva Brooks of Cleveland Heights, OH; Mrs. Glenna D. Ward of Van RD; and Mrs. Lydia Webb of Buffalo, NY. Also surviving are sons George Clover of Detroit, MI and Frank Clover of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Shoup of St. Petersburg, PA and Mrs. Mary Shue of Nahunta, GA; a brother, Andrew Boyer of Coldwater, MI and 34 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home, Knox, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Miller of St. Petersburg officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Lamartine, Clarion County.
