ROBERT LEE BAMBERG, 23, of Winnemucca, Nev., died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, following a motor vehicle accident, in Winnemucca, Nev.
Born Oct. 8, 1982, in Kalamazoo, Mich., he was the son of Jo Dien Bamberg. He was a member of Future Farmers of America (F.F.A.), West-wood Fellowship Church, Woodburn, and National Rifle Association (N.R.A.). He was active in the Woodburn Little League and Boy Scouts. He worked for Diesel Industrial Mechanic, Travel America, Nev.; he was a 2002 graduate of Woodlan High School where he was active in football; was a 2006 graduate of Universal Technical Institute, Avondale, Ariz., with an associate degree in Diesel & Industrial Mechanics where he earned a 3.46 GPA and was on the Director's Honors List.
Surviving are his mother, Jo Dien Bamberg of Woodburn; grandmother, Jane Bamberg of LaGrange; and uncle, Leendert Bamberg of Schoolcraft, Mich. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roelf Bamberg; and aunt, Karen Bamberg.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Westwood Fellowship Church, Woodburn, with visitation one hour prior to service.. The Rev. Jeff Shadowen officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial in Mennonite Cemetery, Woodburn. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to the family.
