McTEER, MAX WAYNE - age 55, passed away this Monday, April 1, 2002, after a heroic nine month battle with cancer. Wayne was born in Toledo, OH on September 11, 1946 and grew up here in Knoxville. He was most recently a principle in Distribution Consulting International, having served as operations Manager for Pay Cash Wholesale Grocery Company here in Knoxville and Senior Vice President of Scrivner, Incorporated of Oklahoma City. Wayne is a graduate of West High School and attended the University of Tennessee. He was nationally known, having served on advisory boards for distribution and logistics with national associations. Wayne is survived by: his wife, Lynn Coulter McTeer of Norman, OK; and three children, Max Wayne McTeer , Jr., of Oklahoma City; Amy Lynn McTeer Of Tulsa, OK, and John Carson McTeer and wife Mikylah of Miami Beach, FL. He is also survived by: his brother, Joseph B. McTeer of Knoxville; and two sisters, Polly Chitwood of Knoxville and Sara Gebrow of Nashville. Waynes' parents were the late Francis and Mary McTeer of Knoxville. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers: Assistance League of Norman, P.O. Box 1354, Norman, OK, 73070. Interment will be here in Knoxville. Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Wayne was much loved and will be greatly missed.
