Sophia Denny Sophia L. Denny passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012. She was 87 years old. Sophia was born May 14, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Michael Ziemba and Lucy Chronowski. Sophia graduated from Jersey City High school and went on to work on work on Wall Street in New York City. Sophia was married to Raymond O. Denny in 1946. They then moved from back east to Ukiah, Ca. She worked for the Mendocino County Sheriff's Department and later as a medical transcriber for several local doctors. Sophia loved to paint as a hobby and was quite a yard sale lover. She is survived by her sons Raymond Denny, Robert Denny and wife Carolyn, Darryl Denny and wife Linda, George Denny and wife Debbie and Sophia's daughter, Cherly and husband Bob Anderson. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Mary, brothers Walter, George and Joe and grandson David Denny. Her older sister, Stella, is still living and resides in New Jersey. Sophia is also survived by grandchildren Micheala Denny and husband Tobey Shultz of Tallahassee, FL and Brian and wife Jessica of Spring Creek, NV and Adriane and husband Steve Bray of Ukiah, CA and Monica Anderson of Renton, WA. Great grandchildren include Taylor and Kenzie Bray of Ukiah, Bryson and Cooper Denny of Nevada and Ty Sissons of Washington. She is also survived by loved ones, Jacoub Day of Idaho and Jenessa Hooper of Washington and Clint Andregg and Dannette Hiatt both of Ukiah. Great, great Grandchild Jackson of Post Falls, ID. Honoring Sophia's request there will be no memorial services.
