Died of injuries sustained from a tornado that went through their hometown in Pettis Township, Platte Co., MO, about June 20, 1885. Her husband Granville died seven days later, on June 27th, of his injuries. Elizabeth never recovered from her injuries and died five months later.

She was first married about 1841 to David Nelson Owens. He died in 1849. On March 16, 1851, she married David's brother Granville. Family trees have listed Levi Denny and Delilah Cummins as her parents. Most census records list Kentucky as Elizabeth's place of birth (one lists her born in North Carolina.) Her Missouri Death record indicates she was born in Kentucky, and was 62 years, 8mos and 1 day old.

there is no stone for Elizabeth as of Sept 2014..here is the info from a volunteer photographer:

Despite burials as recent as 2010 and 2012 this cemetery is in terribly sad condition. A vast majority of the graves are unmarked now only identifiable by indentations in the ground or at best an undistinguished foot marker or base of a long gone head stone. The markers are just gone either having worked their way into the ground or removed. Many of the remaining markers are in disrepair any hopes of finding the graves of most of those interred will require a plot map. Unfortunately there is no contact information on the sign as which merely states "Noland Cemetery 1840."
