Caroline Auguste Seifert Huber was born to Traugott Leberecht Seifert & Johanna Christiane Mittrock of Saxony Germany. She had two sons in Germany Kurt (little is known about him at this time) and Walter Seifert Bailey he was adopted by William and Kate Bailey of Nephi, Utah in 1900. Their father is also unknown at this time. Augusta came to America in 1901 and was married to Simon Huber (he had at least 1 living daughter, Julia, at the time). Augusta lived at 3016 So. & 5th East for 31 years. She stayed in close touch with her son Walter in Salt Lake City until her death in 1933. She was an excellent cook and all who knew her loved her.
Her cause of death was Pancreatic Cancer

Mrs. Augusta Seifert Huber, wife of Simon Huber of 3016 Fifth East street, died of jaundice Sunday at 11:50 a. m. at the family home.
She was born In Dresden, Saxony, January 17, 1861, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raybould Seifert, and came to Salt Lake from Dresden 31 years ago. She entertained the L.D.S. missionaries in Dresden for many years.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Walter of Salt Lake and Kurt of Germany, and four grandchildren.
Burial will take Place In the City cemetery
