He was first employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad, working for 20 years as a car inspector. Later he made his living as a bartender, and was the co-owner of a Sparks bar.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Italian Benevolent Society, as well as the Reno Bartenders Union (Local No. 86).
Preceding him in death was one daughter, Sharon, in 1950. Survivors included his widow, Amelia; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Ghiglieri and Miss Dorothy Angeli; two grandchildren; and four siblings in Italy.
