Information below courtesy of Ron Blevins:

"Riley was a grandson (one of 108 known grandchildren) of James and Lydia (Sizemore) Blevins.
Riley was a twin to Jesse Blevins and lived a long life.
He was born 15 March 1823 and died 20 Sep. 1915, the son of Eli and Milly (Brinegar)
Blevins.
Riley and 1st wife Agnes Barker (1824-1868) had eight children born between1846 and 1865.

After Agnes death, Riley married Ollie Ham and had three children by her between 1870 and 1875.

He also fathered three children by Malinda Brooks

and at least one son by Nancy Gilley, i.e. Roby Gilley (1877-1937).

Roby Gilley married Margaret Denny (1884-1973), and they had at least seven children.

Riley Blevins claimed Roby Gilley as a son
just as he also claimed David Brooks.

Family tradition is that he was also the father of two additional sons by Malinda Brooks, i.e. Tom and Henry Brooks who were Civil War veterans, but I do not have proof of that relationship.

In fathering children out of wedlock, Riley was just following a family tradition since his Dad Eli had also fathered a daughter by Ginnia Jenkins in 1838."

**In an Aug 2015 visit to the cemetery no marker was located. However, the grass was very high and it is possible that his marker is buried there. The 3 markers found were all damaged and on the ground.
